On a beautiful sunny day in Marina Del Rey, Cubensis took the stage from 4-8pm to play the last of a week long memorial to Jerry Garcia. All starting with Jerry Jam 2010 at Irvine Lake, Cubensis closed their last Jerry Week show with the appropriate “Days Between” sung by the incomparable drummer, Steve Harris. Giving the crowd a sense of closure to a long memorial week full of “do you remember when” and “I miss Jerry” sentiments, Cubensis delivered another great show. Special guest singer, Halina Janusz, from Mother Jones joined them with her bluesy vocals for two songs to close the first set. Nate LaPointe played acoustic guitar for the first set, but came out strong with his electric set two.
Cubensis plays the Waterfront in Marina Del Rey every Sunday from 4-8pm. Door is $10.
