This mid-sized venue that overlooks the marina was the setting for yet another great pairing of the two bands. Per Moonalice’s request, they opened up the early evening show which began around 4 pm and rocked clear through the 10pm hour with whopping big sets from both acts.
Moonalice, in their seemingly casual liaise faire style, rocked the house from 4pm-7pm giving the large crowd a 3 hour workout before the Cubensis sets. The one blatantly obvious fact about Moonalice is they’re having a lot of fun doing what they do. Pulling out classics and originals highlighted by Barry Sless’ amazing guitar/pedal steel work and tasty bass licks from Roger McNamee, Moonalice made some waves of their own in the Marina.
Cubensis’ normal Sunday afternoon gig was transformed into something a little more with the addition of Moonalice on the bill. While Cubensis took the headlining spot and delivered a fantastic two set, 3 hour romp through the Grateful Dead catalog, the air of accomplishment was wafting through the halls as they wrapped up a three day musical journey through three great venues with one amazing supporting act.
According to Moonalice Legend, Cubensis AND Moonalice both deliver!
