Weekend Warm-Up For Furthur In Los Angeles

Nate LaPointe and CeCe Sherman of Cubensis at the Waterfront

Can’t wait til Monday and Tuesday to get you fix of the Grateful Dead in Los Angeles?  Problem solved.  LA’s top notch Grateful Dead Tribute, CUBENSIS will bring you TWO full shows of Grateful Dead music this weekend.

First on Saturday, September 18th, Cubensis will take their show to the Southbay and play from 4-8pm at the legendary Lighthouse Cafe on Hermosa Beach’s pier.  For a mere $5.00 you can enjoy an afternoon of Grateful Dead music literally steps from the California sand and surf.  The Lighthouse stands as a monument to the great music that has graced the Hermosa Beach community since the early 50’s.  Get there early, the line forms quickly at this 300 capacity room.

Then on Sunday, if you’re still itchin’ to prime your Dead music pump, slip on up the coast to Marina Del Ray and the Waterfront, where Cubensis will perform again from 4-8pm for a $10 cover.  A size-ably larger room, the Waterfront sits overlooking the Marina with ample parking and excellent food.

Two shows to prepare you for the two FURTHUR shows Monday in Santa Barbara, CA at the Santa Barbara Bowl and Tuesday at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.

The Maykers, a Jerry Garcia Band tribute, will play post shows after each FURTHUR show.  LA will be at KING KING on Hollywood Blvd and Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara.  Both  are very close to the venues and will begin immediately after the FURTHUR shows.
