San Francisco based funk and soul act, Mission Players, have announced their Northern California Fall tour dates. The tour is highlighted with a Halloween party at The Union Room at Biscuits and Blues in San Francisco on Friday, October 29th, a Saturday night show at Caspar Inn in Mendocino on November 6th and a very special performance at Yoshi’s in San Francisco for “Late Night Live” on Tuesday, November 16th.
Mission Players blend an amazing mix of funk, soul, blues and jazz that lends itself well for getting down on the dance floor. Grown out of jam sessions in San Francisco’s Mission District, the band found their core group in 2001. The band has performed all throughout the country and has laid claim as one the best original funk acts. Recent performances have found the band sharing stages with the likes of Fareed Haque Group, Papa Mali, Robert Walter, members of the Galactic and Marcia Ball. The band will be debuting some new material which will be included in their next CD release, scheduled for 2011 release.
