Phish’s announcement of their Summer 2011 Tour dates gives the West Coast no love with not a single date scheduled on the left side of the country. While the announcement says, “Additional Summer announcements will be coming” it’s followed by “Folowing the Summer, the band has no touring plans for the remainder of the year.” So, if Cali doesn’t get some Summer Phish action, we’ll have to wait till 2012 and, according to the Myans, that might not happen either…the year that is.
Recent visits to the West coast have all but ignored the Southern California market and Phish have not come South of San Francisco since Festival 8 in Indio, CA in 2009. So. Cal loves Phish too!
There are rumors that a FESTIVAL 9 will occur in New York at Watkin’s Glen International Raceway but that’s still East Coast love. Come back to Coachella, Phish!

From the announcement page on VIMEO:
Phish kicks off their 2011 Summer Tour on Memorial Day weekend, with three consecutive nights (May 27, 28 & 29) at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY. Stops along the way include Cleveland, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Darien Lake and more, as well as 2-night runs in Holmdel, Columbia and Alpharetta.
Additional summer announcements will be coming. Following the Summer, the band has no touring plans for the remainder of the year.
Fans purchasing tickets for the Darien Center, NY concert will receive free admission to Darien Lake Theme Park on June 8th, the day of the show. The theme park, which is adjacent to the Performing Arts Center, will be open exclusively to ticketholders on that date.
A limited number of tickets are available NOW through Phish Tickets’ online ticketing system at phish.portals.musictoday.com/ . The ticket request period is currently underway and will end Friday, March 4th at 11:59pm Eastern. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, March 11th.
For complete ticketing info, please visit phish.com.
As with the band’s Fall Tour, included in the ticket price for each specific date, is a free MP3 download of the entire show (a fully mixed soundboard recording), redeemable at LivePhish.com, often within an hour of the band stepping off stage.
Common Guys!
Why do you hate us So. Cals???
I bought front row tickets to see Further in Baltimore in the Fall of 2010 for $300 per, but the band equipment blocked our view so completely that we left before the concert began.
Come on man!! The Pacific Northwest Loves You GUYS!!!! Hit up the Gorge again at least!
