It’s always nice when the festival comes to you. Especially Southern California where we are starving for big fests that aren’t Coachella. The 6th Annual Lightning in a Bottle Festival set for May 27-30, 2011 will be held at the 100 acre Oak Canyon Rance in Silverado, CA on beautiful Irvine Lake. This site is the opposite side of the lake from where the OC Music Fest is held. Lightning advertises three stages with Pretty Lights and Thievery Corporation DJ set topping the bill. Presented by DoLab, this fest combines electronica madness with an eco message providing responsible living workshops, green theme and vegan and vegetarian food vendors.
A nice added touch is FREE parking for cars with more than one person. Car pooling in encouraged AND rewarded. Bus options available from San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Franciso and Los Angeles. On site camping is certainly available. The full weekend is going to set you back about $200.00 for 3 days. Two day pass is $150 and one day ticket is $75.
So, the line up.
