Widespread Panic continues their 25th Anniversary celebration with the much-anticipated announcement of their annual fall tour. Aside from a couple of very special dates in early 2012, this will be the Widespread Panic’s last tour before going on a hiatus. In appreciation of their loyal fans, Widespread Panic will perform at some of the smaller, more intimate venues that have become fan favorites through the years, as well as some new ones.
The tour will begin with two nights at the Orpheum Theater in Boston on September 15th & 16th, and will make multi-night stops at such intimate halls as The National in Richmond, VA (Sept. 19-21), The Tennessee Theater in Knoxville (Sept. 26-28), The Johnny Mercer Theater in Savannah, GA (Oct. 4 & 5), The Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Wi (Oct. 20-22) and the Chicago Theater (Oct. 28 & 29).
Panic will also perform for the first time at a handful of venues this fall, including the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn, NY (Sept. 17). The group will also be performing for the first time at The Woods at Fontanel in Nashville, TN (Oct. 7) and The Peabody Opera House in St. Louis, MO (Oct. 12). Also, for the first time in 15 years, Panic will return to Tuscaloosa, AL to play the new Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on September 30th. The group is also announcing their annual New Years Eve celebration. Panic will bring in 2012 with a blowout bash at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.
On October 15, Widespread Panic will be featured for the full-hour on the acclaimed PBS series Austin City Limits. The special 25th Anniversary performance was recorded during the 2011 SXSW Music Conference, marking the first time ACL and SXSW hosted a joint taping and conference showcase.
Widespread Panic’s West Coast swing of their Summer tour makes a two night stop in Los Angeles at the Wiltern Theater on July 13 & 14th.
