Fourty-five years after the original Woodstock Music and Arts Festival in Bethel, NY beside White Lake, Irvine Lake just outside Orange, CA will be transformed into the Irvine Lake Woodstock ’69 Festival. The original featured music from Jimi Hendrix, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, The Grateful Dead, Credence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, The Band and many more great acts from the 1960’s. It was the festival that launched a million more. ‘
In that tradition, the Woodstock ’69 Festival will feature music by Kiss The Sky (Jimi Hendrix Tribute), The Smooth Sound of Santana (Carlos Santana Tribute), Bad Moon Rising (CCR Tribute), Dallas Hodge (former member of Canned Heat), Cubensis (Grateful Dead) and Mama Pearl (Janis Joplin tribute) all helping flashback the lakeside crowd to the days at Yasgur’s Farm in upstate New York. We’re flashin’ back to Woodstock ’69.

The concert was loads of fun. But I still waited all day to see Experience Myke, and what a let down. I have seen many Hendrix tribute bands, and all have been better than Myke. He nailed a lot of Jimi’s sounds, but all feeling was lost when he jams in the middle of the songs. Sorry, but your vocals are even worse. Please Melanie, bring a different Hendrix tribute band next time.
The concert was great all the bands were good. I also wanted to see the hendrix act. and I thought Experience Myke put on a great show… Yes he did nail a lot of jimi’s stuff and he was very entertaining. The vocals were good enough.. (Jimi wasn’t a great vocalist) I thought He did a nice job playing with his teeth, and behind the back etc and the burning of the guitar at the end was a nice touch.. I would have to disagree with the previous post.. And I’d love to see the experience back..
