“Relive The Magic!” A Beatles/Stones Concert to Benefit the Ojai Valley Museum

RELIVEMAG-POSTER

Come September 10th to “Relive the Magic!” a benefit concert for the Ojai Valley Museum, in Ojai’s beautiful new Libbey Bowl. Be part of rock and roll history with this flashback concert recapturing the sound, look and feel of the early years of the “British Invasion” by two of the greatest rock bands ever, The Beatles and the Stones. This family-friendly, non-alcoholic, non-smoking event is the first time in forty-four years that the Ojai Valley Museum has produced a benefit fundraiser or held any event in Libbey Bowl.

Sit under the stars and let Abbey Road-Tribute to the Beatles, take you down to Strawberry Fields Forever. Thrill to the piccolo trumpet solo on Penny Lane and the full orchestration of A Day in the Life. Relive the emotional intensity of Paul’s moving Yesterday solo, as well as the high energy of stadium songs like Twist and Shout plus many other Beatle favorites. With their tight harmonies, flawless note for note renditions of Beatles hits, vintage instruments, Liverpudlian dialect and precise attention to every detail, Abbey Road recreates the magic, music, wit and charm of the Beatles, including the Fab Four’s cheeky personalities, familiar onstage banter and patter between songs. Their three costume changes cover pivotal era transitions with authentic early black Beatle suits, Sgt. Pepper’s regalia and Abbey Road attire. The four musician/actors cast to play John, Paul, George and Ringo were selected from over 120 Beatle tribute musicians.

The Los Angeles Times said, “the show delivers,” and the Orange County Register hailed,” If you see only one tribute show, see this one . . . smart and loads of fun.” The Long Beach Press Telegram called Abbey Road a “highly faithful tribute,” and the Idaho Statesman said, “If you like the Beatles, this is the ticket for you.”

Next up is Jumping Jack Flash who honor the privilege of re-creating a Rolling Stones live performance by delivering what audiences come to see — the theatrics and power of “The World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band” in its raw prime. The greatest care has been given to the smallest details, to ensure that song performance, wardrobe and instrumentation are all spot-on re-creations of the real thing. You’ll swear they’re all there; Mick, prancing and gyrating, Keith ripping licks and posing with his trusty, beat-up Telecaster. Charlie and Bill laying down the backbeat and Brian Jones and Ron Wood rounding out the lineup. Only this is Jumping Jack Flash, “the world’s greatest Rolling Stones live concert re-creation!”

The MC for this exciting event is KRTH 101’s legendary DJ, Brian Beirne, “Mr. Rock N’ Roll.” Order your tickets now and bring the whole family to Ojai’s new Libbey Bowl on September 10th to share in the joy and magic of the music that fanned a pop cultural revolution and has become the soundtrack for a generation.
