Among the list of names of “Legends” in the country music genre, George Jones has to be near the top of the list. Performing his last concert in November of 2012, Jones passed away early in the morning on April 26, 2013 in Nashville, TN. He had been hospitalized since April 18, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville with fever and irregular blood pressure.
While his journey has ended, the footprints he left behind will forever be walked in but the shoes can never be filled. Rest in Peace, George Jones.
