Destination festivals have become all the rage. Cruises, Caribbean Resorts and the like have replaced the ever popular “bunch of people in a field with a stage” formula that has been worked and re-worked since 500,000 people converged on Bethel, NY in 1969. Most cater to the sun worshiping, warm weather loving and bikini wearing music fans. Not the SnowGlobe Festival. These folks are taking it to the slopes…again! And over New Years Eve week too! Combining two of the things that jam-fans like…New Years Eve and Festivals!
Today, SnowGlobe Music Festival announces its highly anticipated return to the stunning landscape of South Lake Tahoe, California over New Year’s Eve, December 29-31, 2014. Combining the world’s best live musicians with the world’s best snow conditions, SnowGlobe is a one-of-a-kind festival experience that seamlessly fuses music and mountains.
Hosted each New Year’s in the heart of California’s breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountains, fans can expect over 50 international, national, regional, and local artists performing multiple stages over 3 nights – and easy access to a variety of world-class ski resorts by day.

A limited number of SnowDay early bird Weekend Passes will be available for purchase by SnowGlobe Elist subscribers only on Friday, May 30 beginning at 11am PDT. Now in its fourth year, SnowGlobe is a music festival, ski/snowboard adventure, and destination New Year’s Eve celebration all rolled into one. Hosted at Bijou Park on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus, SnowGlobe offers over 50 world-class artists performing on three stages over three nights, plus dynamic fireworks displays, live “Big Air” snowboard and skiing demos in between Main Stage sets, 10,000 square feet of heated enclosed spaces to stay cozy, and more. With almost 9,000 acres of nearby skiing and snowboarding terrain and reduced-price Heavenly Mountain lift tickets available to SnowGlobe patrons, festival goers can hit the slopes by day and shows by night.
