Southern California is known for growing a lot of things. Fruits and vegetables, beautiful weather, tasty waves and sun kissed blonde beauties. There’s another crop that’s harvest is yielding quite the bounty these days…jambands. Grown locally and organically, there’s one garden in Orange, CA (yes, it’s in Orange County) that has bore the fruit called The Higgs. Tucked safely behind the Orange Curtain, The Higgs are ShakedownNews’ August “Band of the Month” having received an incredible amount of votes over the other nominees.
I got a chance to sit down with Marco Munos, Spencer Hurley and Warren Murrel from The Higgs at Hear No Evil Studios in Orange, CA. They were in the middle of mixing a new album and planning a tour but we sat down and talked about their roots, their plans, their music and a bunch of other Higgs stuff…
