NEDERLANDER CONCERTS CONTRACT EXTENDED AT
CITY NATIONAL GROVE OF ANAHEIM

Nederlander Concerts was awarded a five year extension to exclusively manage, operate and program the City National Grove of Anaheim, with a unanimous vote on June 16 by the Anaheim City Council.

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with the City of Anaheim as the exclusive manager, operator and programmer of the City National Grove of Anaheim,” said Alex Hodges, CEO of Nederlander Concerts.  “City National Grove of Anaheim has become a must-play theatre in California and we look forward to many more years of providing diverse, quality entertainment ranging from world-class concerts to theatre productions, performing arts to special events and much more.”

Since 2002, Nederlander Concerts has programmed over 2,800 events including live concerts, comedy, community, cultural and special events.  The versatile 1,700-seat theatre has welcomed iconic artists such as multi-Grammy winner Prince, the legendary Glen Campbell, Rock-n-Roll’s reigning queen Stevie Nicks, comedic sensation Anjelah Johnson and pop icon Kenny Loggins, plus many more.   Nederlander was the first promoter to bring Broadway touring productions to the intimate venue, with shows such as Rain, Rock of Ages, Cats and Grease, among others.  City National Grove of Anaheim also hosted Major League Baseball’s Gala and Pre-Party events with a record attendance of 10,000 guests over two days in 2010.

The Orange County gem ranked high among similar sized venues in the 2014 year-end industry publication reports, ranking 2nd in California (Venues Today), 44th nationally and 49th worldwide (Pollstar Magazine).
