Including Halloween Shows Debuting “MixTape 1977”
and the Launch of The Motet’s “Hometown Hustle” – a New Colorado Tradition

The band takes their famed Halloween show on the road for the first time, introduces the “Hometown Hustle” over two nights at the Ogden Theatre in November, and more.

Today, The Motet announces their Fall 2015 tour dates.  The progressive funk collective will unveil their brand new “Mixtape 1977” set over Halloween weekend in four Midwest cities. This marks the first Halloween on the road for The Motet. Meanwhile, fans along the Colorado Front Range can look forward to the launch of a new tradition, The Motet’s “Hometown Hustle,” at the Ogden Theatre on November 13 and 14. In addition, the band announces a handful of Fall festival plays, including Magnolia Fest and Phases of the Moon, and headlining shows later in the season in Boston and two nights in Brooklyn.  See below for the complete list of Motet Fall tour dates.

This year’s Halloween theme – “Mixtape 1977” – will be debuted to fans in Des Moines, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and in Chicago on Halloween night.  The Motet’s famed cover sets, where the band performs music of their favorite funk influences (either an album in its entirety or a “mixtape’ of songs popular in a chosen year) are legendary, festive, and full of surprises. Started over a decade ago in Colorado, they have since become a beloved Halloween tradition. The Motet is excited to take the party on the road this year.

Back in their hometown of Denver, The Motet launches a new Colorado tradition this fall with the announcement of their “Hometown Hustle.” In gratitude of their Front Range fans, The Motet hosts two nights at the Ogden Theatre: Friday, November 13 with special guests The Main Squeeze; and Saturday, November 14 the band offers “Spirit of ’77: An Evening With The Motet,” featuring a special second set of music from their “Mixtape 1977” song list.
