The world is going through a great deal of challenging things these days including the protests over the death of George Floyd at the hands (or knee) of a Minneapolis police officer. Last Friday, Hermosa Beach, CA based singer/songwriter Jeremy Buck teamed up with rap/hip-hop producer Moe Z MD and released an acoustic live version of their 2017 release, “More Love”.
Moe Z and I wrote this song and first released it on Valentines Day of 2017, as we were concerned with the growing division and polarization of the world based on the political atmosphere stemming from the 2016 election. We felt the need to try and communicate and share a more positive message of love and respect. After the recent events that have unfolded with tragic death of George Floyd, along with a global pandemic that has the world on lockdown, we felt the urge to revisit the song “More Love” in hopes that we could shine a light on love and positivity as well as strength and unity as we move forward in these trying times. Moe Z and I have grown up in completely different worlds, yet our compassion and connection through music has formed a bond that has allowed us both to grow spiritually and professionally together regardless of our differences, and for that I am forever grateful!

Performed on Buck’s Friday night Facebook stream show “Live at the Chateau Motel“, “More Love” delivers the message so many need to hear right now; that we need to work together and share the love and not the hate.
